3-way Switch Question
I'd like to switch out the 5-way switch that I have for a 3-way switch on my 3-pickup Tele as I never use the in-between settings and find it a bit confusing at times when going for the middle pickup. Does anyone have a diagram that would allow me to do this? Thanks.

The wiring should be the same, assuming that they're both quality switches. If you've got an import switch with a plastic housing and all the lugs in a straight line, then all bets are off since they're not necessarily standardized. If they're both the Oak-Griggs type with a wafer, then the lugs are the same whether it's a three-way or five-way switch - you want a vintage strat switch. The difference is there's no detent for positions two and four, but the solder lugs are actually the same.

Ok but whenever you need help making things sound more complicated than they are, just let me know.
