Is the Gotoh modern bridge an upgrade from the MIM Standard bridge?
I was wondering if the Gotoh would be an upgrade over the stock MIM modern bridge. Has anyone done this same mod, and if so, what was your experience. Thanks in advance.

I haven't done this mod personally to A/B it, but trying out converted MIM Standards, it seems to me the sound is more high fidelity and less twangy still than the stock bridge. The Gotoh is quite heavy, a beautifully made product. If you played jazz, or high gain, it'd be an upgrade. If you wanted a twang upgrade, you'd want a smaller, thinner vintage style bridge.
