What are the best pots/switches to use on my Tele to get the cleanest twang?

The pots you use will make no difference in the clarity or the twang, not unless they're supremely cheap and dirty.

CTS is the go to standard, and are generally very reliable. Alpha brand is pretty good too, though they're made in metric sizes.

I'm with KokoTele- you could use a Sprague orange drop .047uF capacitor on the tone pot, I find that brightened my partscaster up . At least it east was noticeable to my ears.

CTS yes but there are two types generally available, standard and vintage. The difference seems to be rotation stiffness, vintage pots turn a lot easier than the standard ones so if you are used to a light touch go for vintage with the dimpled back.

Why CTS?
Although they are mainly Taiwan made they use better materials than cheap unbranded pots. The important insulators are heat resistant material not plastic and as we use pots for soldered ground commons there is less chance of the internals melting when heat is applied.
