Guitar Cable Recommendations?

Greetings all,
Firstly, I'm sorry if this has been done to death elsewhere, but a quick search couldn't find a thread on this topic.
I'm dusting off the guitars and amps after a couple of years of musical inactivity. Everything looks pretty serviceable, with the exception of my cables. What I do remember was that they last few I bought were pretty disappointing in terms of quality and longevity.
So what brands do you guys and gals recommend?

Cheers
(PS: If there's an existing thread, I'm happy to be redirected)

Planet Waves are popular in my house. I've found some 'used' Mogami, and Monster in the classifieds section of guitar forums, too.

I like Spectraflex.

There's a zillion options, made in USA and lifetime warranty.....which I've never had to use.

http://spectraflex.com/

Buy quality cables that you can depend on. That's the important part. That leaves plenty of room to get the ones you like.

Thanks for the replies. The Planet Waves cables are readily available here in Australia, and seem quite reasonably priced, but those Spectraflex cables look pretty nice!
Anyone using the Dimarzio cables?

I have Mogami and Planet Waves. Mogami are the quietest but expensive and Planet Waves very good for the money. Never had a problem in the 7 years I have used the Planet Wave cable.

I make my own, Switchcraft ends and Belden cable.

If your looking only at commercially available ones, this guy does a good review of about 20-30 cables. Here's the link.

www.ovnilab.com

This will get you to his compressor page and google search "audio cable" and your there. Good reviews.

I use Armor Gold cables.
http://www.armorgoldcables.com/

(From their website)
Quote:
No B.S. hype here, just proven components and solid design. Polymer outer mesh, Amphenol plugs, double layer heat shrink... the ultimate in durability. Plus our cables are quiet, flexible, affordable, and they sound great.

We use medium-low capacitance wire for great tone. Yes, different cables do sound different... super-low capacitance (below 30 pf) can sound too trebly and harsh, while higher capacitance (over 40 pf) cables can sound dull and lifeless. We hit the sweet spot at 33 pf for that elusive combination of warmth with clarity!

+1 on Armor Gold- I've been happy and they are consistently ranked high in comparisons. First impression on the ploymer mesh is "sharp alligator skin" but u get used to it and it does not seem to be rough on a finish- certainly feels like it will last forever.

I've had my Spectraflex cables for over 15 years. They're still noise free and have never let me down

Spudcaster, when you say you make your own using Beldan cabling, which cable do you use? What is the spec/part number if I wanted to do this myself?
Thanks

Snap jacks are the best I've had so far. Makes it easy to switch guitars and they sound great too.
