You're going to need compensated saddles made for a lefty. Glendale and Callaham both offer them.

What about the bridge itself?
I ask because I may be making a guitar for a lefty friend.

This guy here can set you up with both. I've bought from him several times and have only good things to say about the experience. He sells lefty and righty.

The standard left-handed bridge is reversed from a right handed bridge, but those are much easier to find.

Thanks for the replies!, I thought I would have to buy lefty compensated ones but had
got some righties by mistake..lol, so it's back to the drawing board....haha.
PS, you have to get a lefty bridge because the pickup is reversed!

Some brands of compensated saddles CAN be reversed.

For example, the Stew Mac # 5167s.

You put the height screws in the other way, and the length screw as well. All 3 saddles are convertible, left or right slant. Heck sometimes they come already arranged as you would for a lefty Tele.

A good clue the saddles may be convertible, is if they're still entirely cylindrical.
