probleme with Pot's value ???

hi guy's
well sorry this is not about my tele that one is fine, but my Agile 2900 chambered is not. I have included some photo's of the control cavity the probleme is when I rool back the volume control knob not much happen's from 10 to 4 not much and then from 4 to 1 it will lower the volume on the guitare its almost like an on and off switch which is not very good. the pot's are I.D. as Alpha 500K.can any one suggest a pot change or a wirring diagram that would work better.

BTW I like the way the pick up's sounds its just the volume control that's not great.heres the photo

thanks

Those are audio pots which is the way to go and should be pretty effective from 10-5.

Could be dirty, spray them out with contact cleaner and if that doesn't do it, replace them.

What value are your high pass filters there ?

I'm getting ready for an electronics upgrade on my Dot. All the research I've done seems to suggest linear taper for the volume and audio taper for the tone. I'm going to give that a try.
