How much neck angle on an LP junior?

Doing a tele/LP hybrid build
Using TOM bridge and Bigsby with Les Paul hardware on a tele body

The junior is a flat top too so I would think the numbers are roughly transferable, Approximately what angle is the neck set at on a Les Paul Junior please?

It's 3 degrees, give or take.

I think your best option here is to make an accurate full-size drawing with the hardware you want and take measurements. That's the only way you'll be certain to get it right on your build.

Gonna do that when I get all the hardware measured up.

I just needed an estimate to see whether I'd be better off having my buddy route the cavity with his better machines if it's too extreme an angle, but 3 degrees would be achievable in my workshop no problems.

Don't mean to Hijack this thread....but Eric, I've been workin on a bunch of

Nashville Made Gibson Les Pauls as of late, and noticed on many of them you

have to really crank up the Bridge & Tailpiece to even get 4/64" Action on the Low E

Have you been running into this ?...Could they be gettin their angle wrong ?

I have seen this, but it hasn't been consistent. Then again, I don't do the volume you do.

The Les Paul tenon is supposed to be curved on the bottom so the angle can be changed a little with only minor tweaking when they install it. I wonder if they have a new person on the line who doesn't know how to work the jig quite right or something.

I'm not after an exact Les Paul replica, just roughly how much angle I would need for a TOM bridge etc. Since I'm making the body from scratch I'd sooner angle the pocket than use shims.

btw I've ran my measurements through a few formulas now and got 3-3.5 degrees

Did you get that for the angle of the fretboard, or for the strings?

That would be for the fret board,
with a flat top, 25.5" scale and .9" high bridge and the other few necessary measurements it comes to 3.7 degrees neck tilt

http://www.tundraman.com/Guitars/NeckAngle/index.php
I used this site to check and found the same

I left room to raise the bridge up a bit to get a proper break angle from a bar-less Bigsby so the bridge is higher than it normally would be.

It varied. Typically, a 55 Junior has a shallower neck angle than a 57. Typically, a 57 Junior has a shallower neck angle than a 59.
