Can I join?

Hey Guys;
I am a total newbe, I can only play one song on my Tele
Love Me Tender (Elvis). Caint even play chords yet, only
single notes. But we all have to start somewhere. I have a new MIM Standard in 2tone sunburst, with an
Fender 15R amp. I recently went to Brook Mays, while
out looking at Tele's and they had a white one on the wall
with a blank tag, no numbers or price. I talked to the salesperson to try to find out about it , he said it was a standard Tele. Price $390.00. I knew it wasn't a standard, it was a 50's classic. Anyway to make a long story short, I got it for quoted price (below their cost).
I felt really bad , like I was cheating the store or something, but they really didn't fuss. SoI guess this is a cheap plug , as well as just me saying a hello to all. :)

Welcome J.R.!!!!

Of course you can join. You will enjoy this site. There is a wealth of knowledge among all of the members. Great score on the 50's Tele. "Love Me Tender" is a great first tune. Don't feel bad, my first was "Tom Dooley". Second was "Sea of Love" Welcome aboard!

sure!!!!

Come on in! Don't matter what you can play. As long as you love telecasters....

You do have to learn 'The Claw' by Jerry Reed by next week though if you want to stay...

...no, not really.....

Scotty Moore used to play with Elvis, and he had some great stuff. James Burton played with him for a while too.
great rockabilly stuff.

anyway, keep posted, and learn lots of stuff, have a lot of fun...

Come on in---the waters fine!

Congrats on your new tele. you picked a fine guitar to start your playing career with. I'm looking forward to looking back with fondness several years from now when you become a big star. We can all say we knew you when! You will really like it here and you'll learn a lot. Everyone is free with the knwledge they have gained through years of tele playing! Enjoy.
