Wire?
I'm so newbie I have to ask this. What wire are you guys using when working on Tele guts? In particular the wires between the caps, pods, and pickups.
Need specific names and specs so I can buy it. thanks, fb

I dig the looks and how easy it is to use the vintage style cloth push-back wire. I haven't had any of it in a few years though, so I've been using hook-up wire from radio shack. Works just fine!

i honestly think most any well made copper wire will work fine, as long as it's insulated properly.
after that, it's aesthetics, and using "guitar wire" rather than for example "phone wire", which i bet would work just as well, but it would sure look funny in a guitar to most people. the voltage being carried is tiny tiny, so the wire doesnt have to be bullet proof by any means /shrug :) |
