I have an 85 tele contemporary, which has an H/S/S configuration and three mini toggles, HB Off sPlit, middle off/on and neck off/on, I had a volume pot freeze up so upon inspection it uses 500k pots, I know that is great for a humbucker but not so great for singles (which it uses strat pups) since I never use my tone control I was wondering if I could just use a 500k vol for the humbucker and a 250k for the singles so they sound better OR my other contemporary teles (hb/hb config) use a TBX tone control or should I add one of those in place of the regular tone control? This guitar sounds amazing and almost strat like but I want the singles to quack more.
