Stupid Question...

I have been a Strat player (ducks)...forever...

and (be gentle)... I recently acquired only my 2nd Tele (sold my 52 Hot Rod)...
and I really am not used to the guitar cord hanging straight down from the guitar and this makes it hard to play while sitting...

My question is ...how do most Tele players deal with this...if I get the angled input jack ...will it fit properly-as I notice that the input is recessed into the body a little. Does the input catch properly without static or other issues?

Thanks...

There is no angled output jack for a Tele.

Some cords have a right angle plug that will work, but the plug has to be long enough. I believe Marc Rutters's jack cup was designed to be shallow enough that a right angle plug will work. A standard electrosocket might do the trick too. Honestly, it's been so long since I tried I don't remember!

You could also just sit on a dining room chair or something so the plug sticks out into nothingness, instead of on a couch or big comfy chair where your cable will be sticking into the cushion.

Thanks...

but that is kinda the problem...my fave guitar couch works beautifully with Strats (ducks again)...

and I really play a LOT of the time sitting down and I am hoping to find a solution as I would like to be able to play the strat and tele equally.

Thanks again and if anyone else has any thoughts, solutions,etc...I would be much obliged.

Neutrik 90 degree plugs should fit - they work on my 68.
