Anybody have the polarity of their pups reversed for extra mid scooped quack?

I just had the Fralin Blues neck and CS Broadcaster bridge polarities reversed and wired into a 4-way with 1 (forward) being just neck, then series, then just bridge, then parallel.

Tons of different sounds! I do find I like the single reversed polarity sounds better with dirt.

I use a reverse polarity switch on my tele in the middle pickup. I have strat switching with a humbucker at the neck and a regular tele style pickup at the bridge. The middle pickup is an original out of a Fender Mustang.

I like that tone.

Guys, are we talking polarity, or phase? Polarity is the polarity of the magnets in the pickups, and that can't be changed without surgery on the pickup. Phase is determined by whether the coil starts or ends at your + lead.

I know that my pups had their polarities swapped, but I'm unsure of the phasing.

I find I like the super quack modes best with dirt.

Am I missing a joke here or is this some kind of Internet version of grumpy old farts making fun of someone for asking simple but sincere questions? Just wonderin' Tele friends...;)
