I put a 4-way switch, and a series/parallel push-pull volume pot on mine. White pickguard, and some intonated Graphtech saddles. Not sure what's left to mess with. Maybe a P90 or humbucker in the neck position? Have fun!

NO. 1: Pull it from the bench and de-gloss the fingerboard from hours of play.

Without more background on your part, everything else that comes to mind is far too subjective.

4-way switch, push/pull volume pot to put the bridge pup out of phase, ashtray, 250k CTS pots and a .05 cap.

Maybe a tort pickguard?

Really? My point was that I don't know what tone you're going for, what music you play, what style, etc. A lot of mods require that background information. After calling me a "douche", you can forget about it. Notice I'm more judicious in my choice of words for you.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum.

No prob, torts pretty sexy on white bodies haha :bassist:

also if you move around a lot (at all really) when playing, strap locks are always a good idea for a guitar that you care about. I highly recommend schallers, but it's personal preference what method you use. Some use washers and just permanently lock the strap onto their guitar:P

Oh and try out a set of strings with a wound G. My CV really came to life when I made the switch to 12's with a wound G.

Not a lot you need do to that. Fabulous guitar.

I no longer have a CV50, but , if I did, the one 'mod' I would do is this:

(Before it wears, and while it is new, and while you will get good money for it)

Ditch the skinny, thick poly covered, sticky, squeaky neck, with those frets that everyone raves about (rightly so, when new) before they wear down like butter (IME they are soft, and the wear real fast) and..

Get a nice fat after-market neck, with good hard frets on it.

For what you might get for the CV neck, and what a new neck might cost, it would be a cheap upgrade.

Then, hang on to it , and enjoy it, for all that it is, - for life.
No need to mod anything else - it is all quality.

I have given alot of thought to a new neck because it sometimes feels to skinny. Then it feels right. Thanks anyway for the suggestion.
