Vintage style tuners on 2009 MIM
I'm thinking of putting some vintage Ping/Kluson style tuners on my MIM. It's simply an effort to make my standard Tele look a bit more traditional and more in line with what has always been in my head regarding what a Tele looks like.
Early on, I replaced the 6-string bridge with a more traditional standard three brass saddle bridge which looks and sounds great. So now it's time to change tuners. I have seen some posts about too much space between the tuners. I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if it is an easy swap. Any recommendations on which to get would be good too. Thanks. |

You'll just need some 10mm conversion bushings. They're fairly common from the usual parts places. The holes for the modern tuners are bigger than those for vintage, so these bushings convert them to a smaller diameter and still look vintage.
