Glendale = instant Redd !!!
Had the full Glendale enchilada installed in my AVRI52 the other day ( CRS plate, old school brass saddles, CRS ferrules, neck plate ) and I was playing at practice last night : instant Redd tone ! I realized a big part of his sound, besides his fingers obviously, and Owen's pups, is the hardware. My bridge pup is a SD Antiquity. I can only imagine how close it would be if I had a Duff Plankster...
Just wanted to share my 'haHa !" moment with my fellow Tele friends.

Ive built a few guitars with glendale bridge/saddles and OC Duff planksters, and I didn't get Redds tone. :(

I'm just sayin' that since I upgraded my AVRI 52 along with my SD Antiquity bridge pup, I'm getting some of that Redd mojo ( boo, forsaken term ) I'm lovin' it.

If you are digging the tone from that SD Antiquity, OC Duffs Plankster will blow you away! I highly recommed it. Also, his Richard Young set is phenominal.

Duff built me a set for a replacement tele I built for RY of the Ky Headhunters. He used the exact materials used in Richards original 52. Best set of tele pickups I have ever heard.

No -- I meant that some folks seemed offended by your original post (not that you were offended.) I thought your post was exactly why this forum exists, and I appreciated the review of your new hardware. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

BTW, how do you think the Antiquity compares to the SD Broadcaster -- a little brighter, I'd imagine...

wow. that is SO awesome to hear. couple those new oc redd pups with a glendale bridge and old redd will hafta find himself a new signature tone.
