Ted Greene mod question

Is there any difference in functionality if the ground leg of the tone cap is soldered to the back of the tone pot or through the ground lug of the volume pot then onto the volume pot's casing?

It seems like there's a little less "volume" loss when utilizing the lower 3rd of the tone pot when the tone cap ground leg is soldered to the volume pot's casing and the volume pot is turned down.

Thanks in advance

Ground each one separately, ground them all together, don't make a diff. Ground is ground, and the cap and vol pot need it anyway you go about it.
