1 1/2 inch thick tele?
hey guys, just got a couple pieces of maple and was going to build another body from that, but its only 1 1/2" thick :( can a tele still be made from this without any major issues? i know i would have to compensate for it when it comes to the control plate, but i was thinking about making it a rear route anyways. Has anyone here made a 1 1/2 inch thick tele before? if so, how did it work out?

The Squier Affinity Telecasters are 1 1/2 in. thick.
You could glue on a 1/4 in. figured maple top. You could build a Thinline by routing out chambers before you glue on the maple top.
