Gotoh 6 saddle bridge replace Fender vintage bridge?

Does anyone know if this Gotoh modern style 6 saddle bridge is a direct no mod replacement for the Fender vintage style bridge?

Yes, it is.

If you use it on a trial basis, don't cinch it down crazy tight. Because you may mar the finish in the area no covered by the vintage plate and/or the finish coat may come off in a slab with the big flat plate when you go to remove it.

thanks

Hey Boris
I figured you would know, I'm trying to decide whether to invest some time and $ in this guitar or just sell it and buy my buddy's newer Am Std Tele, which is also sunburst w the 6 strat style saddles.

Do you know if the MIM Nashville Tele bodies have laminated top and backs? I'm thinking it does because the grain doesn't seem to match up front to back, I know the MIM Jimmy Vaughan sunburst Strats are laminated.

Ringo, if your Nashville is sunburst it is still supposed to be solid. My forte is the blonde trans finish ash Nashvilles and these are definitely solid, no veneers.

If you have a MIM Deluxe Nashville with a stock bridge, that's the dreaded 6 "hammer" saddle version. You will almost certainly be delighted if you put a 3 barrel vintage bridge assembly on there instead.

re 3 way bridge

I've got a Callaham bridge w the enhanced compensated brass saddles on my other Nashville Tele and I love it.
I was just thinking about trying something different. And I think I'm going to sell this sunburst Nashville because of course I found something I like better.
