anyone ever stripped a body or neck at a door stripping place?

i remember quite a long time ago a friend of mine said he took a guitar body to a place that stripped doors of paint. it's so long ago and before my interest in tinkering with guitars, but i remember it looking pretty clean and well stripped. anyone ever tried this method for getting poly off a body?

Never had...but I would inquire to the operator of such a place, as to how it might effect the Glue joints ?....cause most I've seen do a full immersion in the solvent/stripper media ?
