Need Some Bow In This Neck
Hello,
I've got this guitar with a perfectly straight neck. No bow at all. I'm getting buzzing on the bigger strings. I've loosened the truss rod and tuned it up but still it's buzzing and the big E string touches the 8th fret when the string is fretted at the 1st and 22nd fret. I suppose I could just let it sit for a while and hope the string tension will bow the neck a little. Any other ideas? |

Then again, it could need a good fret dress. It could be that you have a high fret or two. Are you sure that the neck is not backbowed? Are you able to measure the straightness of the neck on the fretboard or just the fret tops?

You could try clamping a bow in it. If you leave it clamped a day, or so, it might hold it.
