This is crazy none of my pedals work but the tele is ok

Right, recently i completely dismantled my tele, completely shielded the body cavities with aluminum and changed the pots and tone/volume posts/knobs. Now putting it back together the guitar plays beautifully through the amp if none of the effects are turned on, as soon as i turn on an effect, guitar dead effect wont play. Now i KNOW these effects work ok. Dont know what i could have done. The wiring 'looks' fine. But i know something isnt quite right, as also i have somehow lost my volume along the way and now have two tone controls....god knows, if anyone can shed some light?

Clearly you have a wiring error. Check and recheck your wiring against the wiring diagram.

Also, check if the bottom lug of the volume pot is grounded.

you we re totally right, i didnt have the grounding on the far lug, meaning i got my volume back ok but now somehow lost my tone.....i think the problem with my effects not working has to do with a short occurring somewhere down the line with the extra current from the pedals.....but where? the output connections? .....

What is you tone pot doing now? Can you post some pics and the wiring diagram you're using? Very difficult to diagnose from just knowing that your pedals stopped working...
