Strip paint

I want to refinish my AV`52 tele,what`s the best way to
strip the old paint?sanding,heatgun....????

Done it...on a 52 AV RI as well.
I used a heatgun and the nitro/polyurethane on the top and back came off very easy whilst the sides not so much.

I posted pics of the process before and now again:
