Un-Modding

How many of you have un modded a guitar? My first partscaster was a Tele with H-S-H pickup configuration with a 5 way switch and push/pull pots for splitting coils. My attempt at getting the best of all worlds, part LP, part Strat and part Tele. After all that work I mostly played in the 2 and 4 positions with the humbuckers in single coil mode. So over the years I slowly un-modded it back to a standard tele and eventually parted it out. I'm down to playing mostly stock teles and considering a esquire. I love the build threads here and to read about all the cool mods every ones doing but then I wonder how many of you miss the simplicity of the you guitar before you started modding it.

I like the simplicity so I don't add stuff so much as upgrade what I feel are the weak points of the guitar. A telecaster is basically perfect to begin with, I just want it to be the best tele it can be, you know?
