Guitarfetish 25db mini boost circuit ?

I was looking at the 25db mini boost from Guitarfetish and was wondering if anyone has used one and what they are like? After seeing the clips of the Andy Summers Tele, I would like to try something like that in my own. Thanx lexx

I have been looking at the mid boost preamp Fender EC kit. I decided that a SeymourD Pickup booster would get me there and not stick me to one guitar for it.

Check out a few Youtube demo's of the SD Booster and compare it to the Eldred Custom Shop Vid of the Andy Summers Tele and see if the tone is where yo want to be.

BTW, how $good$ a guitar is, is no indicator of how badly it can be played!

When working on my '72 custom/deluxe, I added an EMG PA-2 20db preamp and have been quite pleased with the results. Fairly inexpensive, fully adjustable and has plenty of chutzpah'.
An EMG PI-2 phase inverter would work in that setup as well.

I would like to try something onboard not a pedal due to the fact I just like to plug straight in to my amp. I don't want to chop up my #1 either so it would have to be small. I have a phase switch between the volume and tone buttons now so I am hoping to get away with a push/pull pot to turn the preamp on and off. If anyone has any ideas pls lmk. Did anybody try out an Emg Afterburner? Thanx lexx

I have used two onboard preamps from Guitarfetish. I have used the SRV Exciter and the Exciter as well. I have not tried the 25db boost but I expect its quite good. I recommend their stuff.
