Pots and caps

in a Nash tele. I wish I had taken a look under the hood before the guitar left me (sold). The tone control was magnificent. All I know is it was 250k and an orange drop. As far as I know, there was no cap on the volume pot.

The strat I purchased from the sale's proceeds plays and sounds great. The tone pots are next to useless, though, and I want to rewire/upgrade the electronics. I want the versatility of that nash's tone pot.

Anybody know what brand/type pot Nash used in his teles, and the value of the cap?

thanks in advance,

Dan
