An Idle Thought about Wiring
Suppose one does a four choice switch offering Series out of Phase, and Parallel in Phase as well as plain neck, and plain bridge;
First what's the simplest Tele blade switch that'll give this function? and; Would it be unnecessary to have a separate ground lead from the metal cover on the neck pickup, and eliminate the need to cut jumpers on expensive pickups? Don't wait for the other guy to answer, give it a go.

I thought this four way I've been doing was Series in phase and Parallel in phase.
I just followed Bill Callaham's diagram and the result sounded great, including running a separate ground lead to the volume pot from a lug on the neck pup metal cover ( and cutting the lil jumper ) on the OV pickups, it isn't like I understood what I was doing. Did another guitar, same procedure on a set with Keystones, obviously no cover to ground. You could be right, I did not realize that's how this 4 way worked. it certainly doesn't sound out of phase.
