5 way switches?

I want to put a 5 way super switch into my dual humbucker tele. Will a regular 5 way super switch fit in the tele cavity or is there a special kind you have to buy?

I'm currently putting a tele together & planned to use a 5-way switch. It's a little big and will require some modes. For mine, I think I just have to cut off the legs and solder directly on the switch board.

Go to guitarnuts.com. They have a tutorial on using a 5-way switch for a tele.

you might hafta do a little gentle routing in your control cavity, but nothing that'll show up top. here's what i found when researching for an upcoming build:
The switch requires a minimum of 1-7/16" deep rout for adequate clearance for the wiring.

i don't know that there's a special kind of superswitch designed for retrofit. if there is, i haven't been able to find it.

Some folks have also drilled out the rivets and removed one of the wafers for a narrower switch. 'Course this only helps if you only need two poles.
