Can I just epoxy my pickup to a baseplate or is that not a good idea?
Thanks ce24

I would not use epoxy. drip some wax on the pack of the pickup. When you sodder the ground to the base plate, the heat will re-melt the wax and you can get it seated properly. I did this recently on a GFS 50's re-issue that the glued on plate came off of, and it worked like a charm. I have gigged about 6 hours with it since, playing and standing next to a cranked Magnatone MP-1 with no feedback or squeal.
