What's the doohickey on the top of Forrest Lee Jr.'s Tele?

I was watching the Forrest Lee Jr. instructional DVD's, and I'm trying to figure out what the lil doohickey is that is sticking out of the top of the upper bout of his blackguard tele. He doesn't explain what it is or what it does and he doesn't seem to have one on his paisley.

Here's a link to one of his videos that shows it.

You can almost see the thing on the upper bout in this photo. In the video you can see it better.

it's part of his b-bender system (his self made b-bender). That little round doo-hickey spins around when he pulls down on the bender.

I thought that might be what it was, but then again I figured why would one put something up there when the PW Bbender works just fine without one?

Actually, that little doohickey sticking out of the upper bout is the adjustment screw-driver, and that one looks like the one I got from Bill Bores. It has a little hex driver that sits in the hex screw. You tighten the screw to flatten the bent note, and vice versa. If that is the one I believe it is, the little driver does come out.

It's a tuning bolt, like a PW, but mine sticks out... I made this bender out of transmission parts (cuz I was broke!) in 1998. That bolt is a 5/16" allen head... The headstock says Frankentele... so it needed a bolt stickin out somewhere! The string tower is also an Allen bolt, 1/2" threads x 1 1/2" length.

That's the way the PARSONS/WHITES used to be done, and I find it preferable to finding a screwdriver, or counting on your thumbnail for last minute adjustments...... if they're needed.....much easier, and quicker.. IMO.
