replacement bridges

hello tele dudes, I am wanting to replace my Am. Standard bridge with a vintage style 3 saddle bridge. I don't want to drill new holes, so does anyone know where I can get such an animal?

Just search "bridge" in the search button...you'll probably see hundreds, if not thousands of posts on this topic. In fact you priobably just have to scroll down a few posts just to find a few. This is a very common topic and there's a lot of great information in the forum already.

Glendale does one too... But to be honest I think it looks odd. Too long and narrow looking in my opinion. If it were my guitar I'd leave the modern bridge on it. If you really want a vintage type Telecaster check out the AV series or the MIM Classic series...

Cheers! (and welcome to the TDPRI by the way!)

I agree with BritishBluesBoy. The replacement plate, as well as the original Am Se plate and the new Am Std plate, is simply too long and extends down too far on the guitar.

I mentioned, this to Glen Dale Clark a while back, as he has another in the works, but I don't think his mind was changed.

Referring to MulliganChebichev's image above, seems like it'd be so easy to redo a plate such as Bill's there and chop a 1/4 inch out of the dimension below the three holes and the bottom edge itself. It would reduce the effectiveness of the three fasteners are necessitate two fasteners at the top corners like Bill's vintage design or the new 2008 Am Std. but so what? Maybe 1/4 inch isn't enough to 'fix' the proportions.
