Ganged (TBX?) tone pot wiring- back to stock help

Hello wiring wizards,

Please help. Some years ago I had my Tele rewired and I'd like to bring it back to stock. This Amer Std from the '90s has what I believe I read on another thread to be the TBX control. It has two pots stacked one on top of the other for the tone control, but only a single control knob up top.

I looked at a variety of wiring diagrams on the Fender site, but could not locate one that I recognized as the double pot.

It seems like the caps are wired to the wrong pins, if I use the std Tele diagram on this site to compare.

Will someone help with this?

Thank you,
fphh

Here is a post where we had discussion of the TBX pot. It has my schematic in it like the one below.

Just take the wire coming from the volume control that goes over to the TBX junk and connect it to a regular tone pot with a cap to ground and you are good to go.

Thank you, tdowns. Thank you for the thread link, also. It looks from the diagram that I should connect the wire from the top/right hand pin of the vol pot to the center pin of the bottom (1m) pot, yes? Or does it make a difference which pin I use? Happily, my tbx still has the .022 uf cap and a resistor still wired onto it.

Neither section of the TBX pot will work correctly as a regular tone control. Each section only works during one half of its rotation. You will need to get a regular pot to go back to standard configuration.
