Is your neck 'bucker Body mounted or PG mounted?

I'm thinking of putting a humbucker in the neck position of my tele, and I'm wondering if anybody has done a body mount for a neck humbucker. It seems like it would work, but I think most are mounted to the pickguard.

Thoughts?

Not done it myself, but you should be able to mount a `bucker to the body. Do you already have a pick up, if not then I would sugest something from Duncan. They have a larger mounting bracket, so you can use a larger head screw which will give you more stability.

Not sure why you would want to do such a thing, but looking at this humbucker, it looks like it would just be a matter of selecting the proper length wood screw and spring/tubing to go under the bracket.

I just mounted my GFS Liverpool HB to my pickguard. I ordered a custom made 1/8" black pickguard from Pickguardian. The pickguard is solid as a rock and looks cool with the pickup ring. Just an idea...

Make sure you can get the correct pickup height if your mounting it on the body.
