Help! *Really* bad buzz on high E at 2 frets...

Need help with a tele that has really bad buzz at the 1st string, frets 3 and 5 (G and A). It is fine everywhere else, and bends well without fretting out anywhere. Could this a problem with the extreme treble side of frets 4 and 6, or might it be something I'm missing?

Thanks,
T.S.

1st thing I'd try....get some Good eye magnifing glasses or the like...and take a good close-up look at those frets in question...to see if the ends are lifting.

Thanks, melle. Good idea...I'll do that tonight.

1. Have you changed string gauge at any time? Truss rod may need a slight adjusting.

2. Check the nut. The slots may be too deep for those strings.

Let us know after you've looked at those frets like mellecaster mentioned.
