Help! *Really* bad buzz on high E at 2 frets...
Need help with a tele that has really bad buzz at the 1st string, frets 3 and 5 (G and A). It is fine everywhere else, and bends well without fretting out anywhere. Could this a problem with the extreme treble side of frets 4 and 6, or might it be something I'm missing?
Thanks, T.S.

1st thing I'd try....get some Good eye magnifing glasses or the like...and take a good close-up look at those frets in question...to see if the ends are lifting.

1. Have you changed string gauge at any time? Truss rod may need a slight adjusting.
2. Check the nut. The slots may be too deep for those strings. Let us know after you've looked at those frets like mellecaster mentioned. |
