Replacement tuners for MIM standard Tele

I was wondering if someone could tell me what the hole size in the headstock of the MIM telecaster.I am looking for direct replacements tuners for this guitar so any suggestion that you might have would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure someone who can answer your question will be along shortly, but let me ask you: are you having trouble with the stock tuners? I ask because I just got an MIM and it seems pretty stable.

I just measured a MIM Standard tuner. It measured just a tad under 10 mm. The hole it probably 10 mm. I think most non-kluson style replacement tuners are 10 mm. The MIM Standard tuners have two prongs that fit into holes in the headstock.

Personally, I've never had a problem with the MIM Standard tuners.

Guitar Guerrilla-Actually my tuners were fine. But after years of gigging they're starting to slip, some of the plastic bushings around the keys have begun to fall off and my E and A tuner have become really tough to turn,so since I'm changing them anyway I'd like to install vintage style tuners

You could take the tuners apart and lube them. This is about all the disassembly you can do. It is possible to get lube into the gear mechanism.

Vintage style tuners won't fit without conversion bushing. Your holes are around 10mm or 0.394 in. The standard bushings for vintage tuners press fit into 11/32 (0.344) in. holes.
