wiring: series / parallel

My mind gets tied in nots when I try to think about this. So, can someone help me here? Is it possible to wire a 3-pickup setup in this configuration, and if so, how do you do it? thanks fellas!

position:
(1) bridge
(2) bridge & middle
(3) bridge & neck parallel
(4) bridge & neck series
(5) neck

or I'd even settle for this:

(1) bridge
(2) bridge & middle
(3) middle
(4) bridge & neck series
(5) neck

Throw in some Push/Pull pots/knobs.

Or a 5-way super switch.

Yes, but no... but, yes.

Just to be clear...

The series and parallel combos you want can not be achieved with a standard (two-pole) 5-way. Your options are described (if briefly) in the above posts:

#1, you can use a push/pull to add some series combos to the standard Strat combos (I have some drawings)

#2, you can use a four-pole SuperSwitch, replacing your standard 5-way, and pick just about any FIVE pup combos you can think of ( I can create a drawing)

thanks

ok,
thanks everyone. I put in a 5-way super and wired it up. I'll use the 2-pole 5-way for my strat.

I have a wiring diagram for a Super Switch which I've used on several 3 PU Jerry Jones guitars. It gives you:

neck/neck+bridge series/middle/middle+bridge series/bridge

It works great with lipstick PUs. It should work with regular Strat style PUs as well.

middle-bridge

Hey phat Tele,

how is that bridge-middle series in comparison to the bridge-neck series?

I never thought of having that combination before.

It's still fat but just a bit brighter. It can be a great lead position because of the added treble cut.
