How do I remove tele knobs?
Hello! Firstly, let me apologizefor asking such a basic question, also for asking it about such a basic guitar. Advice will be very gratefully received as I don't want to break anything through ignorance.
I have bought a cheap second hand Squier Affinity series Telecaster. I need to remove the volume and tone knobs - but how? They are traditional-looking tall metalliccy knurled knobs. There is a tiny hole in the side of each. I was expecting to find a grub screw in each hole, but there doesn't seem to be one. Obviously the hole is there for a reason, and presumably is something to do with holding the knob on to the pot shaft. How exactly do I remove the knobs? What's the little hole for? |

there isn't a slot for a flathead screwdriver or a hex for an alan key? all my cheaper teles have pull-offs. you can take any flat tool - knife/screwdriver and gingerly pry them off usually. just watch out for your finish.
