how authentic is the heavy ash in a '52 RI tele?
Did they use swamp ash in the originals?
Is there a pickup upgrade that can take the tone into more authentic territory? I've played an original blackguard and there's a night and day difference between it and the RI.

Just the Ash wood, Maple neck, and the coils being at the very least 57 years old would kind of make a kittle difference
