advice on a new neck needed...

I have a '06 MIM standard that I like a lot...I like it sooo much that I've worn a groove in a few of the frets. Now I get a buzz when I fret the G at the second fret. ARHHG!!! I also got a few on the b string first and second fret.
Now my options (as these are significant wear) is to get a few frets replaced and then get a fret leveling etc. OR...simply get a new neck.
I like the mim neck, but never really liked the med-jumbo frets. I prefer more vintage.
What would you do? I'm thinking the cost of fretwork .vs a new neck is about even.

Who makes a good neck that will drop into my MIM with the least amount of trouble?

Any thoughts?

If you know a good Trusted Tech...and they are Med Jumbos (I forget what year the MIM Stds. went to those?)...I'd let him evaluate the wear you describe, and he well might be able to do a Level & Crown for $75 to $100, and you would have a lower height (More like Vintage) although a Tad wider, and still have the Neck you like...just a thought ?

hmmm...that's a good idea. AND I noticed you do setup and repair and you are in Maryland. I'm in Northern VA and I would love to have you do the work as I'm not sure who to take it to. PM me with where in MD you are and maybe I can have you look at it and give me a quote.
