Spin-A-Split Wiring for Esquire humbucker...help
I'm about to start a custom Esquire build with a SD Lil 59 humbucker in the bridge. I want to wire it without a switch, just a volume & tone knob. I want to wire it with the Spin-A-Split method but can't find a definitive diagram/explanation. I see the one on SD's site but I read somewhere there's a better way to do it. Also, I want to do it no-load so I can get the full humbucker effect at 10. GFS also now has a 1Meg no load pot and I'm wondering if using one of those is going to give me even more juice. If so, do I just use that for the volume pot or both tone & volume?

"just a volume & tone knob"
What knob is going to actuate the Spin a split? Something to consider use a push/pull that takes the tone pot totally out of the circuit, a must on any Esquire IMO. and don't worry about the no load ? |
