Control Plate Location
Howdy all,
I'm going to be putting together a modified partscaster and I'd like to know the location of the traditional control plate. I'll probably want to move it around a bit. Specifically: what is the distance between the top edge of the plate and the lower edge of a vintage style bridge? Also what is the horizontal distance from the 21st fret to the nearest end of the control plate? If anyone could provide ballpark measurements I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks, WBC |

Put the pickguard on first on then slide the control plate up into the notch. Then you can measure a couple of spots from the bridge to the edge of the control plate to get it straight.
If you're not using a pickguard you can search here for Tele drawings by Terry Downs and others here. What you're looking for may be in one of those drawings. |

I don't have the parts yet, I want to determine where I want the control plate rout on a custom set up from USAG.
I have Terry's excellent drawing but it doesn't reference the two dimensions I need. |
