Looking for wiring diagram for 4 way switch.

Hi, I'm looking to wire my tele differently than the usual, I will soon have a 3rd middle pickup in it with a 4 way switch.

1 - bridge
2 - bridge - middle (stratish sound)
3 - bridge - neck
4 - neck

Any idea where I could find a wiring diagram for this ?

Hi, I'm trying to get this switching scheme on a strat with a four way switch, are you sure it would work ? People insist on other forums that this combination is not possible with a 4 way switch.

Francis.

Should work, does what you've asked for.

I concur with the (above) respondents. I've re-drawn it here, but Chris Ledger has it right.

Remember, the "stock" Strat switch isn't really a five-way - it's a three-way with "in between" stops. That's why if you change one throw, it changes the others next to it. The 4-way is true two-pole four-way, so each throw is independent of the others. Take that that info back to your Strat doubters.

how to get the neck/bridge without micro switches or pull pots/faders

Ok I got a favour to ask... I just dismantled my guitar and thinking I knew how to do this I wired things all wrong.

Basically what I want to do is have the options mentionned earlier in this thread, but I realize I'm clueless about all the other wires that go around, I just want to use the same tone knob for all positions like in a tele (it's a strat).

Could someone draw an extension to the above drawing putting in perspective the other wires (ground, output, volume, tone) that need to be soldered !

On top of that, my soldering device is almost at the end of its life.

Thanks, Francis.
