TBX vs No Load

I'm planning to build a Baritone tele w/ low output Lipstick pickups. From what I've gathered, Baritone's need clean and bright to avoid muddiness. Does a TBX do everything that a No Load does and more? If not, would I benefit more from cutting the bass then I would from adding brightness?

Do any of you guys have a preference between the two?

Thanks

I've used both the modded TBX design from here, and a stock No-load . The no-load effect is quite subtle, but the bass cut on the TBX is very noticeable - I much prefer the TBX circuit. The question is whether you need a treble cut at all - if not, just rig a normal pot as bass cut and away you go :)

Ah, that makes much more sense! I could even do a No Load w/ bass cut and have the best of both worlds. Does the cap used control whether bass or treble is cut? What cap would you recommend for this either way?
I have some more homework to do on wiring!

+1 on the no-load ... the TBX never rocked my world.

I've used no-loads, tbx's and standard pots as tone controls and never really noticed that much of a difference really - although that might be because i use standard humbuckers, lace sensors and single coil sized buckers.

How do I wire for bass cut rather than treble? For this project, should I use a .022 cap for the clean and bright or would you recommend something else?

Stumbled across a site that shows you how to make your own no load tone pot, pretty simple to do, and only took a few minutes.
I grabbed a 250k push/pull pot to experiment with. Nice
