Does Different Wiring Effect Tone?

Hey im new here but alwais ended up here from searching for info so decided to join
ANYWAYS,

does wiring a tele different ways effect the tone/sound of the guitar
e.g my teles wired like the squiers are but fender teles are wired a whole different way

any loss or difference?

thanks for the help
i just figured out how my switch works
and just rewired it like the fenders
and it had no real difference
