low E too bassy on 52 tele ri

hey fellas

my low E is too bassy. only occurs in bridge position. my bridge pu is a duncan vintage stack (stk-t3b). believe me, i've tried everything to avoid the issue except anything invasive. does anyone have this tele and this pu and experience the same issue? any advice in general?

Did you try messing around with pickup height? Lower the bass side a little

I had one in my 69 MIM Thinline and pulled it out.

What kind of bridge and saddles are you using? I noticed that this alder bodied Tele with the aluminum E-A saddle from Dale Clark does de-emphasize the E and A and lets you crank up the amp on the other 4 strings, although this has a set of Keystones.

Here are some guys that know a bit about the pickup you have:

yeah, definitely. unfortunately this is the kicker because when trying to do so, the pu runs into the cavity of the guitar and refuses to go any further down. i do believe that a simply bass side lowering would fix everything!

the vintage 52 ashtray style bridge, with fender's 6-piece saddle replacement that comes with the guitar when you buy it. (i got rid of the traditional 3 piece saddles.)

unfortunately i know it's not the bridge/saddles because simply switching to the mid position gives a much more balanced response across the strings

Well, I reckon you're going to have to deepen the Pickup cavity.
