Speed Knobs for Telecaster

Without changing the pots, is it possible to change the dome knobs to speed knobs? Are there aftermarket parts dealers that have these for Tele?

I don't think it's possible without changing to split shaft pots. Even then, be careful, because there are two kinds, and it's easy to get knobs that don't fit on the split shaft pots you get.

Easiest thing to do is switch to split shaft, then use the brass sleeve adapters available at guitarelectronics.com if you decide to go back to solid shaft.

I have some on one of my bender teles, they do look pretty spiffy.

They would have to have a recessed set screw to work w/ the Tele's smooth shaft pots...never seen any like that, but that doesn't mean they don't exist ??

Teles typically use solid-shaft pots and the knobs attach with grub screws. All the speed knobs I've ever seen have been for Gibson-style, friction fit (push on), split shaft knobs.

But maybe someone makes them for solid shaft pots

You could always

drill and tap the speedies and use a 6/32 set screw. I think they look cool on a tele in an inaccurate sort of way..........

I reckon you could, but usually Plastic knobs using a set screw tend to crack easily w/o having a brass insert....at least on cheap Amp knobs they do.

That knob reminds me of the blue Master combination lock I had on my locker.
