Banjo Tuners on a Tele E & A Strings

Has anyone installed these? What brand did you use & where did you get them from? How difficult were they to install?

Waylon Jennings and a few other notable players have done this. I've seen Scruggs style tuners for sale at places like Stew Mac and Elderly. Elderly had the official kind (pricey) and Stew Mac has Schaller versions.

I've thought about it, but never had the guts to pull the trigger on adding them to my tele.

As a banjo player let me just say this,"Schallers freaking suck compared to Keith/scruggs drop tuners." Those Schallers are not anywhere close to the same caliber of Keith/Scruggs tuners. If you are looking to purchase two or a set of Keith/Scruggs tuners or Schaler drop tuners I reccomend First Quality Music Supply (FQMS.com) or Janet Davis's website. Elderely would also carry them. Keith Scruggs tuners are expensive, and hard to figure out initially. Once you do get the hang of them, those things are amazing.

Anyone know which set most people use on guitars, is the G/B string tuners or the two D string tuners?

Listen to what the man says.

He speaks the truth.
