whats the best lube to use in vintage kluson tuners ?
I have sucessfuly removed all the old lube from my set of vintage klusons by soaking them in naptha (lighter fluid) now what to regrease them with ? anyone know what is the right stuff to use ? what did kluson use originaly ?

tuner lube
suggest you consier Vaseline it's petro based, thick and stays in place, good lubrication, won't leak out etc. learned trick from fella from Ft. Lauderdale, Wooden Wiz there for 20+ yrs now in Va.

Super Lube
It is teflon based & very inert. It is certified safe by the FDA for food processing machinery. I use it on everything from guitars to slide projectors to bicycles. It is very stable & doesn't discolor anything.
