Are you talking about the humbucker rout? Here's a PDF scan of a humbucker routing template. It can be printed actual size.
Humbucker Routing Template.

They generally look like an ordinary humbucker rout.
In one type (usually found on Gibsons, and I do my Teles this way,) the deeper parts are shorter (height-wise) than the rest of the hole, which is all that is needed for the humbucker anyway. This Stewart-MacDonald template sort of shows this type: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Te...Templates.html Note that this rout is a little more elaborate than the one needed on a Tele, since a Gibson (inter al) usually has plastic rings that have to be screwed to the top of the guitar. For a Tele, you don't need this, and you can just hog out a rectangular hole. On my son's MIM body, the deeper parts span the full "height" of the hole, from bridge-end to neck-end. I imagine if you check ebay for picktures of bodies, you should be able to find one like this. #EDIT# Here's one: Frankly, you can just route the entire hole to the same depth, as long as it's deep enough for the HB legs. |

Thanks! Here are the build pages. Probably more info that you ever wanted to know! I'm getting ready to swap out the bridge, too.

Thanks
Hey guys thanks for all the quick reply's, that's exactly what I was looking for. I ended up calling a guitar shop and they said they will route the body and the pickguard for $60. That saves me money and time, now I won't have to buy a seperate pickguard. Thanks again for the help.
