Bridge Pickup Height for more treble?

I need more treble out of my bridge pickup. I have a Mim std Tele with a hot rod deluxe amp. The bridge pickup is kinda low, im wondering if i raise it a bit or raise it at a angle will it increase the treble or twang. Or should i get a equalizer pedal and just boost the treble from that.

More Treble?

Treble aside I know from experience that lowering the pickup gets rid of the shrill, ice pick, parakette's ears bleeding sound. You get more details& richer tone. Perhaps the detail of the treble pick up comes through. Now if the actual pickup is lacking in treble then you have an issue. Just for fun crank the pu all the way up and then all the way down on the same amp settings volume etc. You may find out allot about your pickup.

drop (lower) the bass side of the pickup and see what happens.

sometimes you don't need to turn up the treble, but turn down the bass.

in my experience, higher pickups (especially bridge) equal more low end and harsh highs. lower the pickups and crank your amp a little harder, see if that works for you.

Not to be a smart A$$...but that's what the screws are for...adjust away, and let us know your results.
